I am a native Russian living in Russia with more than 12 years of experience as an English Russian Translator. This experience includes working in the following fields:
  • Technical Documentation I have a Master Degree in Physics (Samara State University) and more than 6 years of experience as a Technical Writer. I've been writing user manuals, UX, how-to articles, tech instructions, and other tech-related documents for software companies, for example, for such a famous international company as Paragon Software GmBH. There is a recommendation letter from the Head of Technical Documentation department, which can be provided along with samples of my work upon your request. My latest projects, which were successfully done this winter, were writing user manuals for CipherTV Corporation, a Vancouver-based IPTV company. Apart from these, translating technical documents for different Russian industrial companies usually assumes good knowledge of terms and ability to understand how a certain device works.

  • Web Content
I've been working for different web projects since the very beginning of the Internet era. My technical background with over 5 years of experience in Web Content Management, knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java Script gives me advantages in translating texts for web-sites. I can do SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for your pages. Here is my SEO certificate from eMarketing Institute:

  • Commercial Correspondence
The last four years, I've also been translating a lot of commercial correspondence for some Russian industrial companies (one of them is Avanti+, one of the biggest Russian sport shoes manufacturer).

  • Film Sceenplays
Writing and translating screenplays is the other part of my life as you can see from pages represented on this web-site. I am one of co-writers of educational animation TV series "Aunt Owl Lessons", a co-writer of the animation TV series "Microhi" and some other animation projects. My feature screenplay, a fantasy based on Emily Dickinson's bio, among semi-finalists of the 8th Annual StoryPros Awards Screenplay Contest (Teen / Family category): "The Flowered Bracelet". This passion for writing became a good base for helping other writers and producers in translating their screenplays from Russian into English. I'm proud to cooperate with such Russian production companies as Revolutia Film, Spectr-Optim, Aurora Media. I also work with Los Angeles-based studios. Here is a feedback from my good friend Alberto Velasques-Manuchi, the Director of VAVEM TV Production Company:

"I had the great opportunity to work with Alexander, he is very creative and reliable. I recommend him to anyone who needs a writer."

  • Poems and lyrics
Please, take a read of the following brief poem, written by Emily Dickinson and translated by me:

Emily Dickinson poem translated into Russian

Here is the original version, by Emily Dickinson:

Of God we ask one favor,
    That we may be forgiven
For what, he is presumed to know -
The Crime, from us, is hidden -
    Immured the whole of Life
    Within a magic Prison
    We reprimand the Happiness
    That too competes with Heaven

I write a novel about Emily Dickinson, translating some poems of hers into Russian. There were some really song-related projects, where I've been given a melody to translate original lyrics from English to Russian. Here is a feedback, given by Abbie Tong, a representative of Holy City Church, NY, the USA:

"Alexander is efficient in work, of nice communication, and an easy-going guy! I recommend him to anybody who needs excellent English-Russian translator."

  • Christian / Bible texts
I have translated from Russian into English the novel "The Town of Two Moons", by Anatoly Lerner (Israel) and published by London-based publishing house "Mirador". This is a historical novel about first Christian communities and archaeological finds of first Bible manuscripts, so-called "The Dead Sea Scrolls". This very interesting book is available on the Amazon.
